Instruments for Sale Yamaha 446G w/ F $1200 - OBO 2010.09.02 2012.08.02 It's a medium bore Yamaha that I briefly played in high school before switching to a large bore Xeno. Lacquer is hardly even worn in spots that typically wear fairly quickly, simply because my primary axe in high school was a 354 (I mostly did jazz and marching band) and then I switched to a Xeno for classical. Accessories, cases, mutes for Sale Bullet Brace For Sale 2010.09.02 2010.10.02 I ordered this to try on my Shires. It has a trubore valve and their isn't enough room between the trigger saddle and the bell screw. It's never been used I tried to fit it on my horn and then put it back in the box. www.edwards-instruments.com/trombone/options/bullet_brace.php Edwards says it should fit most other trombones. It sells for $105. I'll sell it for $70 OBO.
WTB: Mouthpieces, slides, bells WTT/ WTB Griego 2010.09.02 2010.10.02 Hey all, I have a Giddings & Webster Boreas that I am looking to trade for a Griego 4.5 or 4M in the deco blank. Silver plated. The Boreas is in near perfect condition, no scratches anywhere on the mouthpiece, only some small marks near the end of the shank. I also may consider purchasing a Griego that meets these specs if the price if right. Pictures upon request.

Instruments for Sale Kanstul 1606 2010.08.31 2010.09.07 .500 bore, yellow 8" bell, lightweight nickel slide, Williams 6 leadpipe. This is an excellent blowing jazz trombone, sort of Conn like but with lots of sizzle. The bell section has a slight imperfection from a dent rolled out, but not too noticeable. The slide is quick and fast, just set-up by Mike Corrigan, the BAC Horn Doctor. This horn blows open with lots of color and very responsive/vibrant. It's a fun horn. $925.00 shipped within the USA. I do have a RB gig bag that is almost new, or an Eastman hard case that is negotiable at an extra cost. Extra pictures upon request.

Instruments for Sale WTT: Conn 60H 2010.08.30 2010.09.29 I have a Conn 60H with an N prefix serial number. The horn has a few bumps and bruises and the slide crook could stand to be replaced one day but as it is now it plays amazingly so I have seen no real need to have it done. I would like to trade this horn for a double valve horn plus $$. I'm not too picky as long as the horn is of a reputable brand (Jin Bao, etc need not apply). But I'm also in no rush and will wait for a good deal. So, if you're interested in a great playing 60H and have a Holton, Yamaha, King, etc. collecting dust send me an offer. Instruments for Sale 1952 Conn 78H Raw Brass 2010.08.30 2010.10.29 For sale is this fantastic 1952 Conn 78H .522 bore tenor trombone. Yellow brass bell. Excellent condition overall. Only the very smallest patch of "Conn Wear" on the stockings. This slide is very very good. No rot on the insides of the tubes. Tuning slide and bell have only the very smallest dings. The bell has two scratch dents that are more dent impressions than they are scratches. Not bad at all. A decent tech could make the go away. I would just leave it. This horn is all raw brass and nickel. No lacquer. Making this a very responsive bone. Comes with either a 1958 era Conn black and white wedge case, or a newer Bach Stradivarius case that is excellent. You decide. Picture available upon request. I guarantee you will love this horn or you can send it back in a reasonable amount of time. Providing it is in the condition it was in when it arrived. $1100 plus shipping.

Instruments for Sale King 3-B Trombone 2010.08.29 2010.12.27 Asking $800. Yellow brass, 1978. A few very minor dents. Lacquer overall in very good shape. Incl. Shilke 45 mouthpiece, + Benge 12c with some tarnish. Original hardcase; side clips not working right. Horn has basically sat in case for 25 years--finally admitting I'm not coming back to it. There are a few remaining lacuered spots toward the very top on the inside by the connector stubs, but overall it's in good condition, and sounds great! Instruments for Sale Olds Standard TIS Bear. Late '20... 2010.08.27 2010.10.03 This is an Olds LM Standard with a .490/.505 bore. Detailed pictures at http://s883.photobucket.com/albums/ac37/Doctorclose/Olds%20Bear%20TIS/. The original slide had to be replaced, but the one I'm including is pretty much identical to the original. I bought the slide from a TTF member who told me that John Sandhagen overhauled it and did the removable leadpipe modification. The alignment is excellent. There's slight pitting to the nickel on one of the inners, but the slide still moves smoothly. The bell section has a reproduction bear counterweight that I had made from a '30s original. The most interesting thing I've found about this horn is that the bell is exceptionally thin. I've never seen an Olds with this thin a bell flare. There are some signs of dents and creases that were removed, but all stresses have been relieved and the surface is smooth. It has a small patch on the bell brace. The metal of the brace and the ferrule were wearing thin due to someone playing the horn a lot (a good sign). There's also minor flattening to the rear crook, but no serious denting anywhere on the horn. I'm including a case that's close to new. It has been modified to fit this horn and it does a great job of protecting it. I'm happy to answer any questions.

Instruments for Sale 1947 Conn 4H. Good Condition. Re... 2010.08.27 2010.09.11 This is a customized 4H with removable leadpipes. Detailed pictures can be found at http://s883.photobucket.com/albums/ac37/Doctorclose/Conn%204H/. It comes with the original leadpipe and another from an 18H which has been opened up and shortened a bit. The slide has just been aligned and the stockings have good chrome. There's slight "Conn wear" on the upper inner stocking and a very slight indentation to the lower inner, but nothing serious. The slide is relatively smooth, with a bit of oxidation on the inner surface of the outer slides, but it will wear in with a couple of hours of playing. This has the gold brass outers. It has the early model cork barrels, but both slide lock and tenon lock are present. It's a real treat to play. No serious dents, original lacquer at around 80%, original case with newer latches. Dents have been removed from the bell throat, the neckpipe and the tuning slide crook. They can be seen in the pictures in the link. The counterweight is not original and comes from a much later horn. For an additional $50 I'll include the correct "Conn Choice of the Artists" counterweight. I'm happy to answer any questions.

Instruments for Sale King 3B Concert Trombone 2010.08.27 2010.10.26 I am selling my late husband’s King 3B Concert trombone, serial # 672097. He was the original owner and purchased the trombone in 1976 or 77. He took great care of it and used it only infrequently over the last 20 or 25 years (and it hasn’t been used at all in the last two), so wear is minimal. There are a couple of very small dings and scratches, and the lacquer is slightly worn at contact points, but otherwise it’s in great condition. It comes in the original King hard carrying case. The case shows only minimal wear and tear, both inside and outside. Also included are two mouth pieces: a Bach 6 ½ AL and a Benge 12C; the original use and care manual (dated 1976); the original inspection card; and a trombone stand. $850 plus shipping.
