Instruments for Sale King 2B Silvertone 2009.07.03 2009.07.10 I'm a little sad to part with this beauty, but I don't see myself using it in the near future, and it deserves to be played.

This is a late 30's 2B Silvertone. One of the earliest to have the "2B" designation in place of just the "Liberty" name. It is in excellent shape. The slide is smooth and fast, with just a few dents in the crook and the hand braces. The bell section is beautiful. Nice hand engraving, minimal dents. I have tried my best to picture the only noticeable blemish on the horn. It is a dent/scrape on the bell flare. I had the bell delacquered because the old lacquer was getting pretty nasty and covering up the beauty of this old horn.

Oh, and it plays GREAT. I used this horn for a year on the "Hairspray" Nat'l Tour and was continually impressed with it.

This horn has been looked over and cleaned by Eric Edwards, so you know it's in great shape and ready to play. It appears that early on in its life somebody decided it played better with parts from another horn...The bell and inner slide serial # is 192,875 and the outer slide and tuning slide serial # is 197,201. I'm not sure if mixing and matching at the factory was popular back then or maybe an owner had two horns and did it himself.

The case is obviously not original, but is still older. It's a burgundy alligator case, with a velvet lining inside. Everything is in good shape and the case latches work great. The only odd thing is that it appears some of the alligator trim was replaced and they could only find teal...

Also going with this horn is an extra bell, yellow brass 2B liberty. She's not really a looker but she plays great for those times when you want a more intimate sound than the sterling silver bell. Both bells can fit in the case, though I don't recommend doing that often.

If you have any questions feel free to email me at stm685@gmail.com

I'm asking $1500 OBO for this hard to find gem.

Instruments for Sale Bach 42BOG *free mouthpiece* 2009.07.02 2009.08.01 For sale is a Bach 42BOG dating from about the mid 90's. This horn is a great player! I added this horn to my arsenal a few months ago but I need some extra cash to take care of a few things. Right before i bought the horn the gentleman who sold it to me had the horn serviced! Chem clean and slide alignment. The slide is in great shape! There is no wear on any of the plating on the inner slide tubes and it is a very fast slide. The lacquer overall on the horn is 85% with most the wear on the common contact points. The metal is in great shape only minor pitting on the gooseneck. I am asking for $950 or best offer!

I will also include one of two mouthpieces...you choose!

Instruments for Sale Shires 525 slide/King3B bell lar... 2009.07.01 2009.07.16 SLIDE: Shires T25 slide with Large Shank Leadpipes. The slide is in excellent working condition. Shires T25, .525 bore. Negatives: There is some wear and pitting in the nickel of the handgrips - On the stockings there is no major wear but i think i can see the beginnings of wear - nothing that has gone through the chrome or caused any physical damage. It may just be the light or some of the lubricant sticking to the stocking. I will give the slide a good cleaning before shipping it out to whoever ends up with it. Fabulous slide. Might be a little long, if you play like i do you will have to either get the tuning slide cut or just be happy with playing with the tuning slide almost all the way in. i like to have room in first, which this doesn't give much of.

BELL: modified to take Shires .525 Slide section. The bell has no lacquer, is an HN white 3B bell - has some brown spots where the brass has corroded a bit, I haven't polished it because I don't want to take off any of the corrosion. No major dents or dings, folds, if there have been any major repairs in the past i can't see them. There is evidence of what may have been a ding on one of the tuning slide ferrules - i put my thumb to it and couldn't feel anything. I had the receiver modified to take a shires .525 and so far as i can tell this has not effected the horn adversely in anyway. Bell looks ugly but is in pretty good shape other than the lacquer being gone and the tarnish associated with that. Has what i think is the original counterweight, but not sure. I love the sound of this bell.

$1000 for the horn - comes with an SKB universal tenor case - Price includes shipping.

Instruments for Sale Olds Recording Tenor Trombone 2009.06.29 2009.07.29 Serial # 151601. Original patina in original case. One dent in slide tube. Bore size .500, 8" bell, little or no plating wear on inner slide tube, fluted inner slide tube, nichol outer slide tube. Wonderful original, unrestored condition. $625.
Mouthpieces, slides, bells for Sale Greg Black 5GM Large Shank SP 2009.06.29 2009.08.28 I have for sale a large shank Greg Black mouthpiece. It is of the 5GM in silver plate variety.

Greg Black's website lists the dimensions as; Cup Diameter: 25.8mm (1.016"), Cup Depth: Medium Deep, Rim Width: Medium Wide.

I am asking for $125 (S&H included) for this mouthpiece, but am willing to take best offers. A new Greg Black from the maker himself is at 185$.

It plays very open and provides a really warm, round sound with presence. No flaws to the condition of the rim or the shank, only the signs of obvious normal use.

Has been used over the last 2 years by a college student. I'm going back to playing only a medium bore horn and this thing just blows a little bit too big for what I want.

If you have any questions or want to see more pictures free free to contact me.
Instruments for Sale Slokar Model Eb Alto 2009.06.29 2009.08.28 Mint condition K&H Slokar 125 model Eb alto trombone.

The Slokar 125 is made by Kuhnl & Hoyer in Germany. It is made with the input from Branimir Slokar, a well-known European trombone soloist.

The slide is very light nickel silver in .480"/.488" dual bore and in A+ condition.

The 7.09" bell and tuning slide are gold brass, and the bell has an unsoldered rim.

The braces for holding the horn in your left hand are both curved and allow a very comfortable grip. The tuning slide shape is very unusual, designed to give the best acoustically engineered bend that allows for the most even responding high register.

It's free blowing with a broad sound for such a small instrument.

Includes case and mouthpiece.

Mouthpieces, slides, bells for Sale Courtois 10.5" bell $350 OBO 2009.06.28 2009.07.13 I really need to sell this so lets call it $350 plus shipping OBO. But please, no crazy $1 offers. :-)

I have a Courtois bass trombone bell flare for sale. I replaced the 10.5" yellow bell with a Shires bell. Try as I might, I just don't prefer the bigger bells. This is for the flare only. You'll have to supply your own mounting hardware.

It's a great bell in great shape. The only marks are where Eric Edwards took off the mounting hardware (and he did a great job, btw). This is among the best 10.5" bells I've played. Like I said, I just prefer smaller bells. Courtois makes good ones, I just couldn't seem to find one available which is why I went with the Shires bell. Feel free to email me with any questions.
